If a piece is too fragile to wash, or if a cheap machine-made rug will cost more to repair than replace, we say so. We would rather lose a job than lose a customer.
About
Fourteen years of Dubai dust, washed out by hand
Carpet & Mat began in 2011 with one van, one pressure washer and a conviction that most rugs thrown away in Dubai could have been saved. We still believe it. Today the same family runs a proper workshop, a fitting crew and three collection vans covering the whole emirate.
The work has not changed much. A rug arrives, we beat the sand out of it, test its dyes, wash it with water at the right temperature, dry it flat and groom the pile back to life. What has grown is the range — majlis carpets, hotel corridors, logo mats for café entrances, stair runners in Jumeirah villas, and wall-to-wall carpet in brand-new Dubai Hills homes.
Our customers range from students in shared Marina apartments to families who have kept the same Persian rug for three generations. Everyone gets the same two-hour window, the same written receipt, and the same honest answer about what can and cannot be fixed.
What We Stand On
Fibre first, chemicals last
Most of our results come from patient dusting, correct water temperature and time — not aggressive detergent. Gentle methods are what keep a wool rug soft after twenty washes.
Turn up when we say
A two-hour window means a two-hour window. If traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road delays us, you get a call before the window closes, not after.
One price, agreed up front
We measure in front of you and confirm the figure before loading. Nothing is added to the bill on delivery day.
The Short History
- 2011
A single van in Deira
The business starts collecting rugs from apartments around Al Rigga and washing them in a rented yard.
- 2015
The workshop opens
A dedicated dusting room, wash floor and climate-controlled drying racks let us take on silk and hand-knotted work.
- 2019
Fitting crew added
Customers kept asking who could lay new carpet. We trained a two-man fitting team and started supplying as well as cleaning.
- 2024
All of Dubai, seven days
Three vans now cover the emirate from Deira to Arabian Ranches, with mat rotation contracts for cafés, clinics and towers.
